Emergency Snow Routes

What are Emergency Snow Routes (ESRs)?

The snow routes will allow riders to catch the bus in an area where riders can board and exit safely during or after a snow storm.

You can find ESRs on our website, at the Transfer Center (bulletin board), and shelters.

When will Emergency Snow Routes be declared?

ESRs will only take affect when JATA determines that road conditions are unsafe, and JATA must take safety precautions. Otherwise, service runs as normal.

Sign up for Bus Alerts via email or text, check our Alerts page on this website, tune into your local media, or call the Transfer Center at 1-517-783-6437 to find out if ESRs have been declared.
