JTA offers the citizens of Jackson County a wide range of “curb
to curb” demand response services. JTA demand response
services include: Reserve-A-Ride, Paratransit for Employment
and Training
(PET), Transportation to Work (TTW) / Project Zero.
Demand response public transportation service provides transportation
to customers that have made reservations in advance of their trip
request. Demand response trips may be scheduled for individual
appointments or on a routine schedule. Click

Reserve-A-Ride is available
to the general public on a first come/first serve basis.
JTA Reserve-A-Ride service provides door to door service to
all residents of Jackson County on a first come first served
basis.
Rides are provided by a twenty-four (24) hour advance reservation
basis with same day rides scheduled on an as available basis.
The JTA uses lift or ramp equipped vehicles to provide Reserve-A-Ride
service to the physically disabled. Vehicles range from mini-vans
to twenty-four (24) passenger small buses. Service is provided
at curb side unless the customer has drive or parking area that
can accommodate the JTA vehicle.
City Reserve-A-Ride schedule:
Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday - 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m
Sunday - 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
County Reserve-A-Ride schedule:
Service available Monday, Wednesday, & Friday
Pickup hours are between:
6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Drop off hours are between:
1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Destination and return locations may be limited to areas near or within the City due to time restraints. Boarding times may vary within the two hour time fram.
The Paratransit for Employment and Training (PET) program provides
transportation to work or work training for the disabled population
living in the City of Jackson. Certification of a disability is required to
use this service.
Times of service are dependant upon where the trip is to,
when the appointment time is, and the client eligibility.
