Community Involvement

WHAT YOUR MILLAGE DOLLARS DO FOR THE COMMUNITY!

JATA provides 590,700 trips per year, that's 1,925 trips per day!

JATA provides 261,400 trips per year for the elderly and people with disabilities!

During the fiscal year, approximately $3,000,000 in state and federal public transportation fund will flow into the city, which encourages local economic growth.

A one mill tax would equal $30  on a $60,000 home. That's approximately 8 cents a day.

JATA has proven over the years that we are more than just a transit system. Our staff members are and have been on numerous advisory boards.

The boards’ interests range from housing, individuals with disabilities, senior citizens, betterment of Jackson (Chamber of Commerce), saving the Michigan Theater, and the MACI project just to name a few.
