Effective immediately (March 16, 2014) the Blackman/Summit Route will take a detour due to poor road conditions.
Starting at Airport Rd and Lawrence Ave., the bus will turn right onto Michigan Ave. instead of turning left. The Route will then turn left on Oak Grove, then right on Main St., and left on Robinson Rd. to complete the rest of the route.
The Oaks Apartment Complex and Washington Way will not be served. The residents of the Commons Apartment Complex will have to catch the bus on Main Street. They will need to signal to the driver to stop, due to no bus sign.
Detour on West Ganson and Blackman/Summit
Due to road closure on Blackstone Street from Washington Ave to Louis Glick,  the Lansing Ave, West Ganson and Blackman Summit routes will be taking the following detour:
Outbound From Transfer Center
Left on Cortland Ave, right on Jackson St., left on Louis Glick and right on Blackman St.
Detour on Southwest Ave Route
Due to road closures on Blackstone Street from Washington Ave to Louis Glick, the Southwest bus route will be taking the following detour:
Inbound To Transfer Center
From Washington Ave to left on Jackson St. to right on Cortland Ave.
Detour on the Francis St. Route and Jackson College Route (Effective April 21, 2014)
Due to the road closure on Francis Street from Mason Street to Washington Ave, the Francis St. Route and the Jackson Colledge Route will be taking the following detour:
Outbound from Transfer Center
Left on Washington Ave to right on Mechanic St. to left on Morrell St. to right on Francis St. 
Inbound To Transfer Center (Jackson College Route only)
Francis St. to left on Morrell St. to right on Mechanic St. to left on Franklin St. to right on Jackson St. to right on Washington Ave

 Welcome to JATA Online! Jackson Area Transportation Authority (JATA) is the only public transportation provider within Jackson County. As an Act 196 Authority, the JATA provides a wide variety of transportation sevices to all citizens of Jackson County. Services include Fixed Route, Demand Response, and Contractual Services. JATA also acts as the Greyhound and Western Union Agent for Jackson with offices located within the JATA transfer Center. To learn more about JATA click on "About JATA".

JATA provides many special and packaged services including curb-to-curb transportation services for Jackson County residents to and from work, school, medical appointments, and shopping.

 Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs and activities receiving Federal financial assistance. Specifically, Title VI provides that "no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."
