At JTA our goal is to serve you. Staff members make it easy for
purchases of tickets and services; yet it is JTA's drivers
that make you feel the most welcomed. The operations department
insures that services offered to the public are carried out in
a safe and efficient manner. The maintenance and utility department's
attention to detail shows in the JTA vehicles performance and
clean appearance. It is their professionalism and passenger sensitivity
that says "J.T.A. is proud to serve you as a customer and
a friend".
JTA has proven over the years that we are more than just a transit
system. Our staff members are and have been on numerous advisory
boards. The boards’ interests range from housing, individuals
with disabilities, senior citizens, betterment of Jackson (Chamber
of Commerce), saving the Michigan Theater, and the MACI project
just to name a few.
The JTA also holds a Christmas food drive to raise food for charitable
organizations. Over 95,000 canned food items have been collected
and turned over to local charities for distribution.
JTA's Advertising Bus program allows advertisers to place their
advertising Message on the outside surface of JTA busses.
Advertising
messages are carried throughout the City of Jackson and Jackson
County at very reasonable rates. For more information about
