The Jackson Area Transportation Authority (JATA) is requesting sealed proposals for three (3) to four (4) Mini-Vans with conversions for transporting individuals with mobility devices. The Mini-Van conversions must meet the requirements of the FMVSS and the vehicle standards and regulations contained within the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) as last amended, and must have been through the Federal Transit Administration Altoona review.
Your firm’s proposal on this project must be placed in a sealed envelope bearing the inscription "SEALED PROPOSAL FOR MINI-VAN PROJECT" on the exterior and returned to JATA by March 13, 2012 before close of business at 5PM. The package must contain all of the executed documents as appropriate. Please call or email for bid packet.
It is anticipated that proposers may have additional questions of the JTA prior to submission of their proposal. The Authority retains the right to reject any and/or all bids or to award the contract on such basis as it deems to be in the Authority's best interest. Any bid which is incomplete, obscure, or irregular may be rejected. Conditional bids or those which take exception to the specifications may be considered unresponsive and could be rejected. The Authority reserves the right to waive minor irregularities as deemed in its best interest.
